Brighton Beat Wolves to Secure Top 4 Spot

Wolves vs Brighton Betting Tips Result - Brighton Hove Albion

Tuesday 14 December 2021 1910 UK

Brighton boss Graham Potter had a depleted squad to pick from against Wolves, but the Seagulls still managed to secure a 2-0 victory at Molineux. Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for Brighton in the 25th minute, before Neal Maupay doubled their lead just after the hour mark. The win moves Brighton up to fourth in the Premier League table, level on points with third-placed Arsenal.

Wolves started the game brightly and had the better of the early chances, but they were unable to make the most of their opportunities. Brighton grew into the game as the half wore on, and they took the lead when Trossard finished off a fine move involving Marc Cucurella and Maupay. Wolves pushed for an equaliser in the second half, but they were unable to break down a resolute Brighton defence. Maupay then wrapped up the points for Brighton with a well-taken goal in the 64th minute.

The win is a major boost for Brighton's hopes of qualifying for Europe next season. They are now just four points behind second-placed Manchester City and have a game in hand on the Premier League champions. Wolves, meanwhile, remain in ninth place, but they are now just three points off the top four.
