'Mad Max' Prequel Coming 2024

'Furiosa,' a prequel to George Miller's 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' has released its first official trailer, giving fans a glimpse of an action-packed adventure set in the post-apocalyptic world of the 'Mad Max' franchise.

The film stars Anya Taylor-Joy as the titular Furiosa, a young woman who will grow up to become a formidable warrior and rebel leader. Chris Hemsworth plays a mysterious character known as Dementus, while Tom Burke plays Immortan Joe, a ruthless warlord who forces Furiosa into slavery.

The trailer opens with Furiosa as a young girl, living in a peaceful but oppressive society. When Immortan Joe's raiders attack her village, she escapes and sets out on a journey to find freedom. Along the way, she encounters a diverse cast of characters, including a group of rebels led by Tom Hardy's Max Rockatansky.

The trailer is full of stunning action sequences, including high-octane car chases and brutal hand-to-hand combat. Miller's trademark visual style is on full display, with sweeping landscapes, vivid colors, and a gritty, post-apocalyptic aesthetic.

Furiosa is scheduled to hit theaters on May 24, 2024. The film is directed by George Miller and written by Miller and Nico Lathouris. It is produced by Miller, Douglas Mitchell, and P.J. Voeten.
