Everton Way Widened Due To Huge Demand

More fans can cement their place at the Blues new stadium

Everton have announced that they are widening Everton Way to accommodate the huge demand for tickets for their new stadium.

The club has received a record number of season ticket applications for the 2024/25 campaign, with over 40,000 fans expressing their interest in securing a seat at the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.

In response to the overwhelming demand, the club has decided to widen Everton Way by two lanes, which will allow for an additional 10,000 fans to attend each match.

The work is expected to be completed by the start of the 2024/25 season, and will cost the club around £10 million.

Club CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale said: "We are delighted to announce that we are widening Everton Way to accommodate the huge demand for tickets for our new stadium.

"This is a clear indication of the excitement and anticipation that is building around the club, and we are committed to ensuring that as many fans as possible have the opportunity to experience the new stadium.

"The widening of Everton Way will allow us to increase the capacity of the stadium by 10,000, and we are confident that this will make a significant difference in meeting the demand for tickets."
